American Elm Distribution Partners Appoints Darren Whissen as Director of Capital Markets

With over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, Mr. Whissen has a solid track record of leading companies specializing in wealth management, compliance, and product development. He is a recognized thought leader on alternative investments, having spoken at nearly every major industry conference and authored several white papers on onboarding alternatives for fee-only advisers.

In his pivotal role, Mr. Whissen will support the company’s capital market activities, playing a crucial part in developing partnerships with RIAs looking to integrate alternative investments into their portfolios.

Prior to joining American Elm Distribution Partners, Mr. Whissen has held several relevant roles within the financial services industry. On the buy-side, he served as a producing wealth manager, chief compliance officer, and due diligence manager. On the sell-side, Mr. Whissen created and owned a boutique capital markets group where he consulted with sponsors on distribution best practices.
