Mr. Robert Aufenanger joins American Elm Advisors, LLC as a Senior Advisor to the American Elm team. In this role, Mr. Aufenanger will be advising the American Elm family of companies on the overall business strategy and growth initiatives. Mr. Aufenanger spent his career in the alternative investment industry, including private equity, hedge funds, hedge fund of funds, equipment leasing, LBO funds and real estate. Mr. Aufenanger was one of the founding members of Broadscope Fund Administrators, and served as the CFO in the Alternative Investment Groups within UBS, US Trust, and Merrill Lynch. Mr. Aufenanger has extensive experience in managing operational growth. He has over 30 years’ experience in the alternative investment industry and has expertise in private placements, reporting, tax, investor servicing, and compliance areas such as AML, FATCA, CRS, Form ADV, and Form PF. Mr. Aufenanger graduated from St John’s University with a B.S. in Accounting and is a licensed CPA.

Carmine Cozelino joined American Elm Distribution Partners, LLC in 2014 and serves as Senior Vice President. Mr. Cozelino specializes in equipment finance and real estate, his key attribute is an in-depth knowledge of sales and marketing with a focus on product structuring and working with non-traded investments including asset backed financing. Prior to joining American Elm Distribution Partners, LLC, Mr. Cozelino served as Vice President Product Specialist with ICON Investments focusing on non-traded equipment funds, with ICON he was also Head of Internal Sales and was instrumental in the launch of a multi-Billion dollar non-traded BDC sub advised by a top private equity/ credit manager. Mr. Cozelino received his B.A. in Political Science and International Affairs from Hofstra University and holds Series 7, 39 and 63 Licenses.

Jessica Murray serves as the Chief Compliance Officer of American Elm Distribution Partners, LLC. Ms. Murray brings over 20 years of experience in the banking and investments industry where she has worked for a large regional bank and their broker-dealer subsidiary and a registered investment advisor as chief compliance officer. Ms. Murray’s career spanned from roles in back-office operations, training, and management – to compliance and supervision, where she spent the last 12+ years in senior roles. In these compliance roles, she has supervised a variety of insurance and investment professionals and their sales activities in traditional investments, annuities, and alternative investment. Her experience also includes designing policies and procedures, coordinating regulatory exams and inquiries, and all other aspects of compliance programs. Ms. Murray holds a B.S. in Business Management from Bryant University. She also holds Series 6, 7, 24, 53, 63, 65, and 99 licenses; and is a licensed insurance agent in the State of Maine

Steven Kennedy serves as Vice President and joined American Elm Distribution Partners, LLC in 2014. Mr. Kennedy specializes in the syndication of alternative investments and private placements across Independent RIAs, Single and Multi-Family Offices, Fund of Funds and the Independent Broker Dealer channels. Prior to Joining American Elm Distribution Partners, LLC Mr. Kennedy served as a Financial Consultant at Laidlaw & Co. UK focusing on managing individual equity and private placement investments for UHNW and HNW individuals across EMEA and Latin America. Mr. Kennedy received his M.S. in Investment Management from St. Johns University and his B.S. in Finance from St. Johns University. Mr. Kennedy currently holds a Series 7 and 63 Licenses.

Julie Bruno serves as the Vice President, Operations and Compliance Officer for American Elm, bringing over 20 years’ experience in banking, management, sales, investments, training, compliance and operations. Ms. Bruno began her career with a large regional bank broker-dealer where she worked in various client facing roles throughout the state of Connecticut. Most recently Ms. Bruno worked for the bank’s subsidiary registered investment advisor as a Financial Education Specialist. Throughout her career, Ms. Bruno has grown her compliance and operational knowledge of FINRA, SEC and insurance laws and regulations through increasing levels of responsibility across multiple lines of business. Through these roles she has expertise in designing and managing regulatory training programs; utilizing the CRD to process regulatory filings, and designing operational and compliance procedures. Ms. Bruno attended Quinnipiac University where she obtained her Bachelors of Science degree. She also holds her Series 6, 7, 63 & 65; and is a licensed insurance agent with the State of Connecticut.

With nearly 15 years of investment experience, Mr. Peters has worked with alternative investment managers including hedge funds, real estate, private equity and private credit to source investments from HNW, single and multi- family office, RIA and small institutional investors. Prior to joining Pickwick, Mr. Peters helped build out the institutional business for RealtyShares, a San Francisco based commercial real estate investment platform, where he worked with both large and small investors. Previously, Mr. Peters was with Terrapin Asset Management, LLC, a New York based private investment firm, where he focused on working with HNW, single and multi-family office and RIA investors in the hedge fund and private credit space. Mr. Peters started his career at Legg Mason covering wire house and independent financial advisors in NY, CT and FL. Mr. Peter earned a B.A. from Fairfield University and is a CFA charter holder.
